Getting Started with Skiing at Mount Washington

What to Expect

Mount Washington receives an average of 11 meters of snow annually, making it one of the snowiest ski resorts in North America. The resort features:

Beginner Runs

If you're just starting out, head to the Whiskey Jack area. The green runs here are perfect for learning the basics:

• Easy Street - A gentle groomed run that's perfect for your first attempts
• Sunrise - Slightly longer but still beginner-friendly
• Boulevard - Wide open spaces to practice your turns

Rental Equipment

The resort has a full rental shop at the base lodge. We recommend arriving early (before 9 AM) to avoid the rush. You'll need:

Lessons

First-time skiers should absolutely take a lesson. The ski school offers:
